The Val Bedretto (Bedretto valley) in the northern Ticino extends from Airolo at the foot of the Gotthard Pass up to the Nufenen Pass, where it crosses into Valais. In the long valley between the Gotthard and the Cristallina massifs there is always lots of snow. In summer, the Bedretto valley is a varied area for hiking and mountain biking.
The Piansecco Hut, immersed in the forest, is a perfect spot to enjoy nature in tranquillity. A variety of mountaineering and hiking activities can be undertaken from the hut: the Piansecco region is in fact one of the most interesting areas for mountain activities. Access is easy and safe even by moonlight, making it an excellent destination for sporty and romantic couples.
