Arbànt Brewery
Founded in 2020, Arbànt is a brewing project based in Bellinzona, southern Switzerland. In a market largely standardised by industrial production, the project stands out for producing beers that respect nature and authentically express the local terroir. Drawing on historic brewing techniques, Arbànt focuses on natural beers made with organic ingredients and, whenever possible, locally sourced raw materials. Particular attention is also given to wild, spontaneously fermented and mixed-fermentation beers.
Nature and the centuries-old history of beer are the project’s main sources of inspiration. The wild beers are slowly fermented and aged in barrels previously used for Merlot wine from local wineries, in the historic cellars of Bellinzona’s Antica Birreria, dating back to 1878.
Arbànt is a Slow Food-recognised producer and is also the first brewery in Ticino to have obtained organic certification and «regio.garantie» certification for selected beers.
