Our Cantina alla Maggia winery in Ticino is rooted in our agricultural estate Terreni alla Maggia that dates back to 1930. The Cantina alla Maggia produces a wide selection of wines on 11.5 hectares, ranging from Merlot to Bondola, an indigenous grape variety from Ticino to premium wines aged in barrique barrels. Three kinds of grappa, an excellent gin with yuzu, and a whisky round off the choice.
As a pioneer of rice cultivation in Switzerland, our Terreni alla Maggia agricultural estate is known for innovative, high-quality products. As well as risotto rice of the “Loto” variety, they include three different kinds of maize for polenta as well as durum wheat for our unique pasta – all made with 100% Ticino ingredients.
The Enoteca Alimentare shop in Ascona sells these products as well as organising guided tours, wine tasting and events. The wines and produce from the Cantina alla Maggia and Terreni alla Maggia can be enjoyed at all affiliated businesses of The Living Circle as well as at many other restaurants and hotels in Switzerland.
