The Fawino Winery was founded in 2012 by the collaboration of two young oenologists who grew up in the mendrisiotto: Simone Favini and Claudio Widmer. The winery is located in Mendrisio and the estate, which covers almost 4 hectares, is distributed on the slopes of the two most famous mountains of Mendrisiotto: Monte San Giorgio and Monte Generoso. In addition to merlot, the main vines cultivated are cabernet franc, syrah, gamaret and ancellotta for reds, white sauvignon, chardonnay, sémillon and viognier for whites.
